Level II Physician Accreditation
WHAT IS LEVEL II PHYSICIAN ACCREDITATION?
Level II Physician Accreditation is offered through the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation. It is an educational process designed to provide physicians with an understanding of the administrative, legal and medical aspects of workers’ compensation, in addition to educating physicians in the uniform use of the American Medical Associated Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 3rd Edition Revised.
Level II Accredited Physicians have completed an examination to demonstrate knowledge of impairment rating. Physicians can test for their specialty area only, or they can opt for the general exam, covering all impairment sections. After successful completion of the examination, and completion of the Physician’s Compliance Agreement, physicians are accredited for three years. All physicians, regardless of specialty, are tested on Legal, Ethical, Administrative and Neurological Sections.
Are Colorado Rehabilitation and Occupational Medicine Physicians Level II Accredited?
Yes, all CROM physicians have Level II Full Accreditation from the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation.
